When we met with Whitney Thompson (winner of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10) last month, she mentioned to us that she would be launching a dating site for curvy women. We have been very excited to see the roll-out of the site. Available to Canadians, The Big and the Beautiful seems to be generating a lot of buzz since it’s launch last week. “I created this site for real women with real curves … looking for real pleasure. Unlike other dating sites where members feel pressured to fit a certain mold, posting older “flattering” pictures or even lying on their profiles, everyone here has the freedom to be their true selves” says Whitney Thompson who is not only the face of The Big and the Beautiful but is the President of the company too. The site is definitely fun and flirtatious, and although I have a boyfriend, I may have to tell him I need to sign up for research purposes lol

The other night we were invited to an exciting event here in Toronto to support featuring Whitney Thompson (winner of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10) for plus size brand Allistyle, at Gussied Up. If you haven’t heard us rave about this adorable plus size boutique before, then here is your chance to! We absolutely adore this little fabulous shop just a few steps south of Dupont and Bathurst. Created by Victoria McGroarty, Gussied Up carries a wide assortment of merchandise, from basic tanks and leggings, cardigans and everyday tops to party dresses and designer plus size labels. They also carry Damn Heels, jewellery from local talent, fabulous purses & clutches and more! At Gussied Up every piece that Victoria brings into her shop goes against the traditional “too old lady” or “too hootchy” problem with plus size clothing.
